Pretty much i screwed up throughout middle school and freshman year. I'm improving now but I can't take any of those classes because of the prerequisite grades that are required. I'm looking to do accounting or something in the business field. I know business deals with numbers, I'm good with numbers but I just had a tough time with some other things.

So....what's the concern here, then?

... You're going to have to be more specific lol.

And can you do prob and stats or something?

Yeah, what about AP Stats?

Take classes online.

I agree with the others, go ahead and do Stats. It's way different that Precalc and Calc and it's fun (at least I find it fun =P)

self study and take placement tests. If you're willing to buckle down and do it, it is definitely feasible to do 1 or 2 semesters of calculus in one summer. provided you're not doing much else on top of that.

I hear you. I'm probably taking Calc this summer online - a year's worth of material in 3 months, on top of the internship I desperately hope to get, on top of studying for my probable SAT retake. Isn't the life of a CCer grand?

Try the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. They offer honors and AP courses online (3, 6, or 9 months) for students with a qualifying PSAT score and for the CTY students from 7th and 8th grade. They cost big bucks, though ($750 for a 3-month course).

i can't take stats because for some reason at our school you have to have taken pre-cal i think. How will colleges look at me taking online courses.

I meant take them for placement. Bargain with the teacher or the guidance counselor to see whether they'll accept the online course in place of the traditional course so that you can take Stats or Calc. Explain to them that the material covered is the AP material, and they'll probably let you if you persist and then do well in the course.

oh I've talked to my teachers and they say online courses will not help with placement. our school's weird.

also i looked at the cty courses and they require prerequisites. you can't just take honors pre-cal and trig without taking algebra II and I have course signups very soon. so i don't know what i'm going to do.
