So as the frantic high school senior that I am, I haven’t received any notification of regents, likely’s, or any other indication of "early admission from any UC (applied to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCSB, UCI) so far. Other schools that I applied to were the Ivies, UChic, Stanford, and other top 15 colleges, if I were to put it. So far, I’ve been accepted to one top 15-20 college according to US News and have been invited to an all-expense weekend invitation for some kind of scholar’s weekend to that specific college. Knowing all of this, I was wondering if there is any common correlation between gaining “early admission” to UC’s of lower-tier schools (but still amazing schools) to schools such as those I mentioned above. If there are any current college students who have experienced this, I would greatly appreciate your inputs! Thanks!

As far as I know, you get a regents invitation if youre in the top half percent of applicants for that specific school. If you’re not, it okay because it doesn’t mean you wont be accepted…if you have the stats, you know you will get into somewhere! Its just an early assurance, so some pressure is lifted. I’m sure you’ll be fine, esp if you have gotten accepted to a top 15 school.
