I opted not to take the SAT IIs and wasn’t planning on applying to a school that would need them until I decided to major in Economics. Cornell has responded that they would look at my application regardless, however, I will be providing less information than other students. Do you think I should apply anyway and just not have any Subject Tests or apply to ILR where I can minor in Economics, or CALS where Dyson includes economics into their curriculum.

Yes, I emailed the Admissions Office and they told me that my application would still be reviewed. My school doesn’t have UW GPA. I read on an older Cornell blog post that if I took it in January, it may arrive in time to be considered. So should I just sign up for that test?
I say go with one of your second options, OP. You don’t want not having any subject tests to affect you negatively.
Here is what an admissions (?) person said on the below link in response to someone saying they do not have subject tests: “Your application will be considered, but you are providing less information compared to other students, so it could impact your chances of being admitted.”
@HRSMom They don’t? It doesn’t say on the site that it’s one of those SAT + 2 SAT Subject Test or ACT w/ Writing requirements. Just “SAT or ACT, and 2 SAT Subject Tests”.
Your ACT is right at the average but your GPA is lower (not out of range though). Plus your race, it would be a reach, but it is for everyone else too. If you are confident in your extracurriculars and essays (your awards are great!) I say apply; if Cornell says they’ll look at your app then they’ll look at it. I don’t know much about the other schools though, sorry
ILR requires a very good “fit” that is hard to pretend or take as a 2nd choice. Dyson probably only has 50 or less spots left after ED. So either option is a longshot…
You are right that CAS requires the SAT 2s. I was wrong.
