My D noticed that 21st Century Leadership isn’t listed on the NOLA Experience list? Anyone have any ideas? Leadership in NOLA? Global? US?

Here is the description, along with the other tracks. [Tulane University - Track Descriptions](http://tulane.edu/studentaffairs/orientation/nola/track.cfm)

Just found out that my daughter and bloomy’s son have met each other at orientation and now ended up in same nola experience again. They met and remained in contact without any doing on either bloomy’s or my part. The world is small indeed…

21st Century CITIZENSHIP is what I’m seeing…

Probably a transcription error. It must be the same course.

mavitale + calmomofthree - isn’t it so funny that here we are on cc and we all “met” before our kids even met…so happy they are doing the NOLA experience - what a great opportunity! I think we all need to meet in person - get our cc names put on tee shirts so we can recognize each other. We had mentioned that in an earlier thread w/others…hope that is till a plan!

Rum House on Magazine St–Friday night before move-in. T shirts were to say “I <3 FC” with our screen names on the back.

My wife is dying to do this. What time?

We should meet with the kids…on Friday might…place that could accommodate both generations and both teenage and adult palates…without Long waiting lines…I don’t know my way around…so maybe FC could make recommendation.

Rum House was chosen because it is a fun place that kids would like. They dont accept reservations, which is what we wanted, bc no one was sure what time or how many of us would actually show up. It has an active bar where we could hang out waiting for people. The original planners were me, Aquamom5, Jozuko and Bloomy. FC said he could not meet us, regrettably.

Sounds great! I’m getting there on Thursday and staying at the Park View Guest House across fromt the school. Looking forward to having a day to myself to explore (with a car!). Hopefully I won’t get irretrievably lost. :)

oops–Oliver17 was a planner also. of course, everyone is invited, including non CC friends/roommates and their families for drinks, at least, and hopefully dinner.

Obviously you all are already committed to NOLA Experience, so you don’t need convincing. But in case you didn’t see this, I thought you would like it. [TruTU: The NOLA Experience: 5 days of your Freshman year that you DON’T want to miss!](TruTU: The NOLA Experience: 5 days of your Freshman year that you DON'T want to miss!)

So Rum House it is…for Friday

I’m in! But the message I’ve entered is too short so I’m writing this. ;)

S graduated last night w/a neck full of mardi gras beads…then he gave them to his teachers - he is soooo ready for NOLA!! Looking forward to the rum house.

Bloomy - That’s great! They must have loved that.

Conversation yesterday at Gilly Hicks ( clothing store where my daughter currently works). A new girl started working there yesterday and asked my daughter whether she could show her what to do. My daughter did not know her since she attended a private school in town. She turned out also a senior…of course they asked where they would be going to school…well, the girls said, the decided to go to Tulane…(over Vandy)… “No way” my daughter responded " that’s where I am going". “Are you doing NOLA Experience”. " yes", the girl responded “21th Century Leadership”. Well, what is the chance of such a coincidence, they are both in the same group.

That is a small world event indeed! If I could plant audio here, you would all be hearing the Twilight Zone theme.

So it turns out there is a deadline for responding and accepting to attend the NOLA experience…just by coincidence, we discovered that the deadline is today at noon - S registered in time but almost missed out…he saw he got in + kind of left it at that for some reason…hope others don’t overlook it the way he did…
