Nominations

Hello, I am currently a senior in District NJ-05. I have heard many of my peers from the Summer Leader Seminar all across the country saying that they have already received nominations. I was curious as to why my New Jersey Congressman and Senators wait until the end of January to let the candidates know if they have received a nomination. Would this not be a disadvantage? I do not have an LOA, so I was wondering if this would make it more difficult to get in since slots will be filled from now until late January with people getting early congressional nominations on top of the candidates with Presidential Nominations. I am not challenging the merit of my Congressman and Senators, I was just asking if there is a particular reason that they do this. *Note-I had my Senator interviews the first week of November and my Congressional interview the first week of December.
Thank you for your help.

normally, they will tell you if you receive the nomination or not. you should be notified by the first week of JAN the latest.
