"Non-Academic Courses"

I notice that many colleges (like Michigan) recalculate your GPA so that it only includes math, science, math, history, english, and foreign language.

Does AP Art get thrown out as well, or is it counted as an academic course?

bump.

interested to know.

...if AP art is counted, are other years of art also counted?

I think AP art is probably counted...for the very fact that AP is supposed to be college level...

please. you "think".

We would like to know what the adcom "think"

^^any thoguth on the topic is better than no thought; 90% of the stuff on CC is what people think anyway

other years of art are NOT counted ... but i was wondering if it was different for AP Art since it is an AP level class.

Why don't you just ask the schools in question? I imagine that colleges vary.

DianeR, because that's too easy! That ruins the anticipation of the right answer....

I e-mailed Stanford about this and have yet to recieve a response ... when I do, I'll post it here.
