non-liberal arts to liberal arts?

I'm currently at a respected undergraduate business school, and I'm interested in transferring to another college. All the colleges I'm interested in are liberal arts, and most of them don't have undergrad business programs. The issue is that since I'm in an undergrad business program, I have to take business classes (Accounting, economics, business math, etc). Do liberal arts colleges look down on business classes when they don't offer these majors themselves?

I wouldn’t expect so, but have you taken several Liberal Arts courses as well? Your reason for transfer essay could touch on this aspect of your situation - how you have taken a lot of business classes, how they will fit into your “new” plan.

If they’re from a legit school, then probably not.

A good angle might be talking about how you liked the analytical thinking involved in business, but wanted to focus more on ideas and deep thinking than just getting immediate results. The trick is to explain why you want liberal arts without putting down your previous educational experience.
