Non-major ****ty grade- significant for grad school applications?

I'm a philosophy major that's minoring in economics, hence I'm taking calculus to take intermediate microeconomics and/or macroeconomics. Although I like economics, I like philosophy much more. I'm probably applying to graduate school in philosophy. The point of this post is- does a grade in the range of C-B minus have a significant effect on applications for grad school? Keep in mind that this grade is scaled quite a bit. (64 is a C which is what I've gotten on both exams). I get mostly A's in my other classes, including the econ elective I'm taking this semester. I suppose that all the relevant stuff (philosophy grades, letters of rec, writing sample) can outweigh one ****ty grade. Anybody else have experience with this? Calculus is one of the main college math courses, its definitely not a bright spot on an application if one gets a bad grade in it.

It’s just one grade I wouldn’t sweat it.

It shouldn’t hurt your GPA too much.

A few low grades wont kill you. The most important thing is to have a positive upward trend in your grades towards the end of college and get good letters of rec from professors as well as some kind of hands-on experience.
