Non Resident Transfering to UC (After Freshman Year)

Hi I'm from Philly..It's the summer before my Freshman year at college and I'm planning to transfer after my 1st year at a Uni to the UC System (I know it'll make me a lower division). For lower division, I read you need to be eligible as a HS student. I meet all the requirements except the fact that I did not take my SAT Subject Tests!

Do any of the UCs care about whether or not I take the SAT Subject Tests? If so, should I plan on taking them during my Freshman Year in college?

No one lol?

They look at your SATs and SAT II’s + your High School GPA. Since your OOS, your grades and SATs should be pretty high to get into any of the mid and upper tier UC’s.

If they require you to be HS eligible to transfer lower division and if part of that requirement is to have taken the SAT subject tests, then you should take them.

I would plan to take the SAT subject tests.

Ok thanks…I really hope they take a look at my GPA during my freshman year at college also, and take that into consideration.

I mean the SATs are supposed to show you how well you’ll do in college.

My GPA high school year is great. My SAT Reasoning could be better…and I’ll be taking my SAT Subject Tests Freshman year in college.

which uc’s allow- transferring after freshmen year?

“It’s the summer before my Freshman year at college and I’m planning to transfer after my 1st year at a Uni to the UC System”
