Non Resident Transfering to UCI after Freshman Year

Hello, first time posting. So I've been googling for an answer for the past 3 days and have yet to found a FIRM answer. I've heard from many people in Cali that it's possible but how about non residents?

Long story short, I'm from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and about to start my Freshman year in college. For financial reasons I've decided to attend La Salle University (on a scholarship) to save my family some money. In High School, my GPA was a 4.0 and I ranked 22 in my graduating class. How hard is it to transfer into UCI as a Sophomore?

I plan on working very hard during my First year at La Salle, (I'm going for 30 units/credits, plus an additional 4 credits from my Criminal Justice class during HS and maybe more from my AP Eng Lit Test.) So I might have around 34-35 after my 1st year.

I need a spot of hope. Yeah that was lame, but I'm hoping there is a good chance or some slight possibility that I can transfer into UCI after my Freshman year. Is it possible? If it is, what steps should I take to make it happen? Thanks. And any real success stories will make me feel better haha..

And I understand that would make me a lower division student since I don’t have the 60 units.

Any help?

I also found one problem…reading the requirements

I’m 100% sure I fufilled the Subject Requirements (a-g). Only problem is the Examination Requirements…I took the SAT Reasoning Tests but never took 2 SAT Subject Tests, the guidance counselor at my HS pretty much told me it’s not needed -_-…Am I screwed?

No you’re fine, the UC’s don’t require SAT scores from transfers

I think they check if you have less than 60 units…

Edit…

Yeah I know but I’m hearing I can transfer as a Lower Division Transfer, link is up below.

Are you sure, even if I’m a Lower Division Transfer? In the Lower Division section:

[University of California - Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/transfer/tr_adm_reqs.html)

It requires ‘Statewide Eligibility’ unless I’m exempt from that since I’m not from California…?

Any rep that can answer my question?
