Non-residential college: Harder to make friends?

<li><p>Do non-residentials have common rooms/lounges/anything else on each floor to meet people? Or is there just one common room per building?</p></li>
<li><p>Is it possible to see the floor plans of these buildings? (Could only find the floor plan for a double room, not for the entire floor...) </p></li>
<li><p>Will there be a very small percentage of freshmen in non-res colleges? That would make it harder to make friends, I'm guessing...</p></li>
</ol>

<p>If it helps, I'm looking mainly at 1835 Hinman, North and South mid quads...although I'm open to other places as well.</p>

<li>Not necessarily. Allison is considered one of the most social dorms and is perhaps the most popular choice for freshman, yet it’s not a res college.</li>
