I am a high school student who has no source of income, do I still have to sent that to IDOC? Also, if we are selected by FAFSA for verification, I have to fill it out for IDOC too?

Hi thankyouall.
The forms that are required of you by IDOC should be listed within the checklist they gave you when you signed in. The checklist is within the document called "IDOC Requirements." It comes up after you sign in to IDOC the first time. I would guess that the Non-Filer's Statement IS on your checklist. Filling it out is no big deal at all. It should take a matter of a minute or two if you had no source of income for 2008. You can find the form on either of the links for Non-Tax Filer's Statement on that same page. Just print it out, fill it out, and mail it in along with your cover sheet.

I'm not sure about the FAFSA verification part of your question.

Yes - log on to your IDOC account and they should provide the forms you need. You have to fill out the non-filer statement. Make sure that the rest of the colleges you're applying to that don't use IDOC don't require a separate statement (i.e. I believe UPenn requires a separate non-filer statement).

Thanks, I don't mind filling those, but I don't want to send in anything that's unnecessary that may delay the process.

Do not send anything to IDOC that is not specifically requested by IDOC. Just follow the instructions.

what if i forgot to send in my non-filer's statement?
level of screwedness??

Call the school & tell them - ask them what you should do.
