Noncustodial Parent filled a foreign tax return

Hey everyone! I am recently filling out the financial documents of my family for college scholarship. However, my mom and dad have been seperated for years and even though my mom filled out the 2016 US tax return, my dad has paid taxes outside of the US and the tax return looks a lot different. I am wondering if most colleges will need a translated version of the tax form or they just don’t require any? Thank you for your help!

For FAFSA purposes, your non-custodial parent won’t be considered…at all.

If the school uses the Profile, and requires the non-custodial parent Profile, your dad will need to complete that. Some schools do require copies of tax returns…and if your colleges do, a translation would be helpful. How else would,the financial aid office be able to read them?

             What is your state of residency now, and you are international, no green card, both parents non citizens? What visa are you on?

@JaqueBear

Could you please put all of the relevant information here?

@Sybylla asks some good questions.

Are you an international student? Do you hold permanent resident status? Do either of your parents?

What state are you living in?

What financial aid forms are you completing???

Financial forms for scholarships? What does this mean?

                   You look like a california resident, hopefully looking at your threads, you have a lock into an affordable UC/CSU/commutable school.
