Nontraditional student- UIUC chance?

Hey all, just wondering if you would scope out my chances for UIUC. A little backround, first. I'll be honorably discharged from the US Coast Guard this summer. I joined up at 18, so I'll be 22 by the fall 2008 semester. My high school grades were bad, something along the lines of 2.0. I'm not sure of my SAT, however I will be taking the ACT* this fall.
I have been taking gen ed classes at my community college. I have a total of 24 credits, with a 3.8 GPA. The college credits includes four transferable military credits.
I'm not sure if they look at this, but: I have numerous awards in the USCG, including; Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service Medal, Marksman ribbon, War On Terrorism Service medal, Coast Guard Commendation award, and Presidential Unit Citation award. I also have two letters of recommendation from my current and former commands. I've also worked with the Russian Coast Guard, and performed joint law enforcement with the Canadian Mounties, US Border Patrol, and US Army.
I'm hoping to take Landscape Architecture.

*On the ACT, what score would put me in a comfort zone, so to speak, on my admission?

Bump

I am honestly not sure how colleges address your situation, and I don't think many people on this forum will know either. Perhaps you should post your question in the Transfer Students forum:

or the general College Admissions forum:

As for ACT scores, they state that 50% of admitted 2007 freshmen at UIUC have an ACT between 27 and 31, so scoring a 30 should put you above the average, of course, scoring higher never hurt anyone.

I have the greatest respect for you, and good luck in your admissions!
