I assume that most interviews are done and I hope you all did amazingly in your 15 minutes of “fame” haha can’t wait to hear back from many of you when the results come out in October :)

Is everyone done at this point?

I think so. How did it go for everyone? I felt I did fairly solid. Stuttered once or twice, but they loved at least one of my answers a lot, so I’m not sure. They said at the end that the 15 mins went by quickly for them. Anyone else get an indication one way or the other? Does anyone have a clue if we will know before October? Thanks

Early October is a good guess I hear

Does anybody know if they come to your school or is it just an email? & do we get laptops if we get the scholarship?

@hopefulstanford I’m pretty sure they go to every winner’s school (I think that’s why you have to have a Nordstrom in your area when you apply). I don’t think we’ll know about the laptops until people start finding out if they won! They did get laptops last year though so I guess we’ll just have to cross our fingers

Anyone find out yet?

@alleycat2 yes! I did on Thursday! Have you heard yet?

@hopefulstanford Wow!!! Congrats! What region? And no I haven’t heard yet Still hoping though!.

@alleycat2 I’m from California!

@hopefulstanford Cool! Northern or southern?

they came to my class today!! im from maryland!! they gave out like a hundred cupcakes to everyone in my class lol. also theyre giving out macbook airs this year :)

@a2b0c1d5 $-) =D> Congrats! Haha that’s so cool! I saw on Twitter that like 3 people in Maryland got it today!

thanks!! good luck to everyone!!

Hey! From Chicago here, haven’t heard back yet either. Waiting patiently yet anxiously :-S

@alleycat2 what hashtag did they use for the scholarships? or link? also nervously waiting! :/

So… Do you think theyre still giving out awards in the east coast?

Also will they send out a concluding email saying whether or not youve won?

Yea ^ does anyone know if they inform your parents ahead of time? Or when the regions are given out. I’m Midwest and I haven’t heard anyone winning here yet.

@Simmy3 @morinatsu They are definitely still giving out awards on the east coast. Here are the places that they have gone to so far (estimate): Maryland (3), Georgia (2), North California (2), Virginia (1), Florida (2), Oregon (2), Washington (1). This is just my count from what has been posted on the news and social media. There has been no rhyme or reason to where they travel; one day they seem to be in California and the next day in Georgia. There are probably a few more awards that have been given out (and haven’t been publicized at all), but it seems like 15-20 is a good estimate for the number of scholarships that have been given out so far. And just because they have gone to a region/state already doesn’t mean that you won’t have a chance. I think they are going places where there’s clusters of students that have won so they can hit up a bunch of schools at once. I’ve been kind of confused about the parent thing though, because there are a lot of pictures with the winners and their parents. In some articles I’ve read, the parents have found out a week prior and keep it a secret, but I think others find out the day of and then go to the school. We will find out on October 31st if we haven’t won. Good luck guys!

I think they chose chose 10 winners for each of the 8 regions, so that there are 80 winners in total. So, maybe the Nordstrom is just certain regions first? I’m in the NJ/NY region and I haven’t heard of anything over here.
