Hi All, does anyone know if rejection letters come through mail? Or just email/portal? Thank you!
@eaglemom2014 @Anxious56 My son was accepted only into Exploratory studies vs Engineering for NC State. He was accepted into engineering at Virginia Tech (in the first Feb group), Clemson and UNC Charlotte plus offered Presidential Scholarship plus Engineering Scholarship at Univ of Alabama. We are in state (NC) so this would have been the most affordable option. He got a 35 on ACT (took once), 720/720 on new SAT, 3.85 UW and 4.28 weighted. His class rank is a bit low (top 20%) as his first two years of high school were in a different state and at a school that did not offer honors and AP classes. He’s an Eagle Scout, still highly involved in scouts, does robotics, NHS, and did a sport his senior year. So the two things we think hurt him were class rank and light on amount of extra curriculars. He loves scouting and is in a very active troop. He didn’t feel he had the time or desire to superficially join several different organizations just for the sake of putting them down on his application.
He will not be going to NC State to hope to transfer in at a later date to Engineering. We have some tough decisions ahead!
How is the Poole business school vs u of SC Moore Business school? Around the same cost.
Is there a groupme chat?
@Mom2Boys89 our boys have a lot in common. Also Eagle scout, Robotics, NHS. He tests poorly. SAT was 1220. But he is #5 in his class with almost a 5.0
has anyone heard anything about the waitlist yet?
Nothing yet on waitlist. Do they really wait until June?
Isn’t anyone here in Architecture or Design?
@Anxious56 have u heard back yet?
@lee.sophia32
She was not accepted off the waitlist. She was heartbroken.
Sorry to hear that! So where did she pick?
@byadg123 were u admitted off of the waitlist? and if so, did you receive “The Big Envelope” in your mailbox after you accepted to attend? or did it come regardless (and if so when?)
@lee.sophia32 - D is a junior trying to choose. I’m curious to know what people’s second choices are.
