<p>I know it failed, but this guy still freaks me out. I'm almost don't want to pull the troops out of Iraq becuase they might get shipped straight to Korea to fight this guy. How can China support this guy and say it's becoming more open?</p>
<p>Also, I notice now that no one is complaining about wasting money on the missle defense system. If it works once, it's paid for itself in my opinion</p>

<p>anyway... it was the long range missile that failed. It flew for about 40 seconds before basically falling apart in midair, lol. I wouldn't really be too worried about America getting hit. We can actually knock those things out of the sky, and they probably wouldn't make it here anyway because they're kerean. I'd be more concerned for the Japanese, since the short and midrange missiles are pretty decent..</p>

<p>For all of you suggesting we bomb the **** out of NK or nuke them, you are forgetting one thing. NK has a huge array of artilery right outside of the DMZ all aimed at Seoul, and any sign of war (and if we shoot their missiles out of the sky with the Patriot system the crazies will probably think we are declaring war), means that they WILL flatten Seoul. Sure they will get their asses handed to them by US, but many will die in poor SK first.</p>

<p>And why should China retaliate? In fact China admonished DRNK recently after they threw a tantrum regarding their missiles. China knows better than to blow up half the world when they are growing in economic stature day by day. Or atleast I think they know better. Only really suicidal, idiotic, hypnotized countries (i.e. NK and some Middle Eastern countries) will retaliate.</p>
<p>The whole bit about becoming a superpower is the very reason they would jump at the chance to take on the United States. Not to mention with the Russians in the equation, who are very close to the Chinese politically...</p>
<p>You forget that launching a nuke at one nuclear power is going to cause the other to launch one right back. How can China be a superpower if there's no world left. That's what I'm getting at. They know that striking US will mean a nuclear holocaust. Same with US striking China. Sheer folly.</p>

<p>If the US nukes anyone, all hell will break loose. Anyone nuking anyone will cause full scale nuclear war, be it India, Pakistan, USA, Israel or anyone.</p>
<p>Not if the victim doesn't have anything to strike back with. Or if the victim doesn't exist anymore. NK or Pakistan is a small territory than can easily be annhailated with a nuke. And NK has no nukes to strike back with.</p>
<p>Now this is all stupid really, because of the bad international publicity that will happen if US nukes someone. But it will not cause a holocaust if they attack a country with no nukes. Or they wipe it from the map.</p>
