@cctransfer212 maybe that’s why u got denied?) i remember for sure it was 4 essays and you had to pick one.

<a href=“Admission - Boston College”>Admission - Boston College;

@dzharkov my bad. i thought you were talking about NU. yes, bc has 4 essays to choose from. I picked the “Jesuit” one.

@goldblend I applied to Arts, Media, and Design as well! I have not heard anything yet Do you know if the school of Arts Media and Design is hard to get accepted into as a transfer student?

@transfercollege I am transfering as a junior too!!

@jojoanna I don’t know the acceptance rate. I have tried looking online for information, but I haven’t really found anything

Based on this thread, it doesn’t seem like very many transfers applied to Arts, Media and Design.

@goldblend Based on all the previous comments, it looks like we will find out next Friday. It’s been so stressful waiting! Goodluck to everyone.

I really feel like they are waiting to see how many people accept their offers before sending out more acceptances

I reallly hope we find out next friday!

@goldblend Yes, I’m in the college of Arts, Media, and Design and I received my decision a few weeks ago. You should definitely hear back soon!

@balexandra84 If you don’t mind me asking, what program/major did you apply to? I applied to the music industry program.

Just got rejected from BU. Eagerly waiting on NU.

@goldblend I also applied to the music industry program, no decision yet : /

Anyone here from College of social sciences and humanities who did not get their decision?

@littlecookie I applied 3/18 and they received all of my materials by 3/24. I figured I would have heard sooner because it’s quite a small program. When did you apply?

@goldblend I think I applied on or around the same day as you haha. They didn’t get all of my materials until a week and a a half later because one of my transcripts took forever to get there. I’m starting to get so anxious now I applied to another school and I heard back 6 days after applying… granted it was a smaller school, but I thought it would take 3-4 weeks tops to hear from NE…

@goldblend Combined major in communication studies and media and screen studies. I heard music industry is one of their top programs. That’s probably why they’re taking longer to get back to everyone.

I really hope they’re keeping people waiting so that they can give more financial aid because my offers from BU and BC are completely unreasonable and I’m really REALLY upset about that… especially since only 11.5% of transfer applicants were granted admission to BC and I was one of them ):

@jbones157 congrats on the acceptances. Sucks that the fin aid wasn’t up to your expectations. I really hope they still release acceptances rather than u know what.

I got rejected from both bu and bc. Nu is my only chance. I really really hope that I get in or else it will be a very bad turnout for me.

If you look at the transfer acceptance rates of BU, BC , and NU… NU is around 47 percent verses BU which is around 28 %, and BC which is around 11%.

@jbones157 Congrats on your acceptances! And I’m sorry that your financial aid didn’t pane out the way you wanted (I’m afraid that will happen to me too if I end up getting accepted! Fingers crossed!)

But have you tried contacting their financial aid offices??? Maybe if you give them a legit reason for money and show your interest in attending, they’ll give you a bit more money! Something like I would love to attend your school but it isn’t financially feasible because of A, B, and C. Or, if you live nearby, another option is trying commuting to shave off your costs. Maybe that will help!
