I have been accepted for the Nursing schools at many schools but have narrowed my choice down to Northeastern and Catholic University but I cannot decide which to choose! I love both Boston and Washington DC which makes the choice more difficult. Also, CUA gave me a lot of financial aid whereas Northeastern gave me almost nothing.

Any input/opinions is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!

nhd, My son attends Northeastern and really loves it. However, as a future nurse, I think it would be unwise to saddle yourself with debt. So, if you need to go into debt to go to NEU, I think Catholic would be the better choice.

Best of luck to you!

have you seen both schools?

thank you pudmadkate!
down to earth-yes I have seen both schools and love each school, I just don’t know if Northeastern would be significantly better for my career or if I would be just as okay at Catholic University

I don’t know much about Nursing…In what ways would NE be better for that specific career?

If you will need to borrow a lot of money to go to NU, then I would agree with pugmadkate that Catholic is the better choice. On the other hand, if you have funding from other sources (rich uncle, for example) then NU’s nursing program has a great rep. But I strongly suggest making financing options a big part of your choice.

@JoBenny I don’t know much about nursing except that it is extremely hard to get into at NU and it is a very popular program.

NEU’s nursing program has a great reputation especially in the Boston area. It’s graduates get good jobs through their co-ops. It has state of the art sim labs, and is very close to many teaching hospitals. I know people who are happy at both.My d was accepted to NEU and has not decided yet. You can pm me with questions. I am a nurse in Boston
