Hey guys! I have to decide where to go to college in 12 days and I was hoping to get some opinions. So I can go to Northeastern for about $5,000 per year or Rice for about $30,000 per year. Rice is a little pricey, but my family can mostly make it work. This is also for undergrad in Biomedical Engineering, so how much does it matter? Your thoughts will be much appreciated!

Both very good schools, Rice being better. Pro for Rice: better name recognition= easier to get a job. Con for Rice: It is so much more expensive than NE (but if you work, then maybe itll be like 20,000 a year and if you parents are kind enough to pay, then thats good). Pro for Ne: its a good school, and its cheap! Con: none

Reasons to go to rice: You won’t be the one paying and i think 30,000 a year will be nothing in the long run. Then name recognition will most likely land you a higher paying job which will make up for the higher costs. Rice is more prestigous and you get bragging rights.
Reasons to go to NE: you pay close to nothing, still a good school.

i would personally go to Rice becuase of the name recongnition. i would decide based on which school has a better biomedical engineering program
