Northeastern state schools with full aide

Are there any universities/colleges in the northeast states that offer full ride or near full aide to A students?

I don’t know of any that guarantee a full ride that includes room, board and tuition…but Northeastern gives full tuition scholarships to National Merit Scholarship finalists, I believe.

Are you a resident of any of these states? Some schools have scholarships for high achieving instate students…but they are tuition only.

The Trustees Scholarship at Boston University is a full tuition competitive scholarship, with a separate application. Again…only tuition.

In addition to being an A student, you would need to have outstanding SAT or ACT scores…just being an all A student would not be enough.

merit scholarships are RARELY offered for GPA alone because so many students are “A students”. Test scores are usually used to determine merit.

What are your ACT or SAT scores.

The best merit scholarships (for all four years) are usually given by colleges who award them to students whose ACT/SAT scores are well-within the top 25% and also have good GPAs.

The northeastern states in general are not fertile ground for merit aid.

Clark U (Worcester, MA) offers a full ride scholarship called “LEEP”:

Ataxiax, are you male or female? There are tons of colleges in the Northeast. Smith and Mt. Holyoke are very generous if you have need. Do you? Or are you specifically looking for Merit? If you do the research, you will find many, many good schools with names you’ve never heard of who can offer good FA and an excellent education. Look outside the major names, and look for schools where your stats would be toward the top of the applicant pool.

Just gotta say…full rides including tuition, room board are not very plentiful…not at all.

Rutgers has been reported to offer full rides to New Jersey residents who probably want to go anywhere but Rutgers.

UMASS Dartmouth offers full rides to academically competitive students.

My experience is that plenty of private colleges are willing to give 50% off of tuition merit scholarships for students towards the top of their applicant pool. However, full ride scholarships are very rare - you might be better off playing the lottery.
