does anyone know if they take into account the university you transfer from? i will also post my decision when it comes back! wishing the best for you all
If they come out tomorrow, I don’t know what I’ll do.
I’m so nervous.
@nickvader7 sameee, this is making me SO anxious
I think the school you go to can help a bit. Like, I’m sure if you’re trying to transfer out of Harvard to Northwestern it’s a boost lol.
im so nervous hehe ahhhh I was waitlisted when I applied as a senior in HS and I heard that gives you a boost as a transfer applicant so I’m banking on that combined with the higher acceptance rate for transfers, however I’m doubting I’ll get in. I’m at a prestigious california school right now but I was so unhappy for two years that I did nothing besides school pretty much, therefore I have a feeling I won’t really stand out. Also, if I do happen to get in, it all kinda depends on how much FA i receive too. Oh well, good luck to everyone, I hope they come out tomorrow <3 and I’ll post my results good or bad so everyone can benefit – I hope you all do the same!
Yeah I heard getting waitlisted in HS gives you a boost as a transfer. @smlsml4444
If you submitted a resume: did you do upload it through the common app or the main portal?
Ugh I’m really stressed too-- I’m betting on getting rejected, but at the very least I’d want to just rip off the bandaid tomorrow and try to move on. My school rn is honestly very unremarkable so there’s not many on-campus EC opportunities (commuter school where everyone goes home after class), honors coursework in my major doesn’t really exist, etc. At least I tried but I know it’s gonna hurt lol
I submitted my application in January, so I’m hoping I’m in the first round. I’m applying to Medill though, so I don’t know if that affects which round you’re in.
Anyone get anything on informed delivery?
aren’t decisions released online way before any materials are sent out? especially given the current mail delivery delays
@transfer143948 Pretty sure they send something the day decisions come out. Not sure how it’s going to be this year because of what’s happening.
Yeah idk how it is for NU, but my acceptance package from Umich got here, like, 3+ weeks after my decision on the portal
Yeah UMich for me last year came later from the decision date. Some other schools I saw stuff coming the same day as the decision.
Has anyone heard anything yet?
It’s too early right now, they release decisions around 6:30 EST
Acceptances have been released around 11 EST in some past waves.
Will the portal look different when a decision is ready to be released?
I was wondering the same thing. Mine looks the same as usual
Waiting anxiously alongside all of you! Wanted to share my stats just in case. I’ll also be posting results if we get them today. Best of luck to all of you!
I’m mostly stressed because I submitted my application on March 15th, but for some reason, they didn’t have my application complete until April 8th. So I assume I might not be a part of this wave, even though my application was in relatively early. It might also be an issue of applying to the double degree program, but I’m not sure.
