Northwestern, NYU, UChicago, or UMichigan?

Can I get into Northwestern, NYU, University of Michigan, or University of Chicago with this resume?

SAT 2250 (math 800 reading 760 writing 690)
ACT 32
GPA 3.7/4.0 unweighted (B in English for both 9th and 10th grades)
All Honors and AP classes
APs: Physics, Chemistry, Calculus AB and BC, Statistics, Economics, US History, European History
Extracurriculars: Student Government 4 years (class president 9-11, secretary 12), Journalism (financial column), National Honor Society 2 years, California Scholarship Federation 2 years, Science Olympiad 4 years (secretary 12), Future Business Leaders of America 3 years, Varsity Track and Field 9-11 (state runner up in 100m relays), MVP 9-10, and attended the Cosmos program at UCI last year.

And if it makes a difference, I'm African American; people tell me this does or doesn't matter but I'm not sure.

Assuming you’ll attend Cosmos program again this year, I’d say you’re in at University of Michigan, possibly/probably in at NYU.
University of Chicago and Northwestern I’m not that sure, but you definitely have a decent chance.

Your URM status will help you. Can you try bringing up your writing grade to 700+? I would also recommend bringing your GPA up, since it’s a bit low.

Remember that your essay counts too  Assuming you write a decent essay, I’d say you’re a strong candidate.

You appear to be a very strong candidate. Just remember to have several matches and a safety you love on your list as well.

U Mich: Match
NYU: Match/High Match
Northwestern: Low Reach
U Chicago: Low Reach

NYU and U Mich your in. Northwestern is a low reach and so is u chicago. they are definitely reachable.

does low reach mean i have a low chance?

Low reach means that it’s a stretch, but fairly reachable.

and would it help if i were to retake the ACT to compensate for my writing?
Because if i were to retake the SAT it would be my third time.

Most schools don’t really care much about writing, so it’s the best one to have a low score in. I think you’re good. And just to clarify, I think you’re in at Mich and almost definitely in at NYU. U Chicago and Northwestern, are as I said, low reaches.

Your race makes a difference, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Besides, you look like a strong candidate, only thing i notice is your e.c. are all over the place. So maybe you could focus on something in depth over the summer? Just my thoughts

I’m not sure whether i want to do economics or engineering, hence the FBLA and Science Olympiad focuses. The rest is just me liking to be involved, like student government and community service honor societies.

You have good chances at these schools. You may want to take a couple subject tests (preferably Math2 plus a science) if you want to apply for engineering.

ahh, how did i leave that out hahaha
I got a perfect 800 on the Math II Subject Test, 780 on Physics, and I’m taking Chemistry and US History ones this year.
Also, I have like two minor infractions on my discipline record, will this change things?
