im still waiting to hear. Did anyone here apply to the school of communications, and hear back yet? I'm wondering if they do it by school?

While I personally did not apply to the school of communications, I do know of an admit who did, and was admitted a week or two ago.

I don't think that they do it by schools. Not sure though.

this waiting is killing me..

hey jacknjill
i actually got the same email
does that mean I got in?
I mean..it's strange that I never got an acceptance letter but only the email
even if they sent the acceptance letter on the day that I got the email..it's been three days already so I should've gotten it today(I live in NJ)
So I called and asked them if they could confirm that I actullay got in but they said they couldn't tell me over the phone..
So how did you ask them? and is there any way that I can know that I'm in?
(such as applicantion services webpage etc)

thank you

eanicich - Thanks for the pointers. I'm actually going to be staying in a hotel lin Evanston...my plane leaves in 3 hours! I'm pretty excited.

sabeg - I don't want to say you got in and then have you call next week only to find out that you weren't accepted, but I think that means you got in and your letter is on its way. I would imagine that when they accept an intl student, they automatically notify the intl students department and then they send an email. Why would they send an email if you hadn't been accepted? Any way, they will tell you if you call :)

got the letter in the mail yesterday... I'm in. Yeah!
Anyone know when they want the deposit by? And whats the deal with housing?

just accepted today

I got in too!

Accepted today too!

Does anyone know where transfers are usually housed?

still waiting... good sign or bad?

i just found the academic calender and the school ends in June
i'm impressed

finally rejected

jna Sorry to hear about your rejection. If you do not mind what were

still havent heard, but from what I have read and heard we have to know by sunday...so good luck to everyone and congrats to all of you that got in!!

This is goldcoast. I am a returning adult transfer. High school pretty

bad. Though I have a 3.1 from depaul not good. Though I have a 3.6 gpa

from loyola then a 3.8 from a community college. The average is around

3.6.8 which rounds to 3.7. I also published a poem which I

showed nu. Do I have a chance? My high school experience and depaul

was twelve years ago. Became a real estate entreupner during my break.

Sure you have a chance. I got accepted to NU last year and I'm also a returning adult student. Since I've been at NU, I've also met a few other returning/nontraditional students.

I dropped out of high school with something like a 1.6 gpa... So I doubt you are in worse shape than I was. :) My NU gpa is now 3.65 and rising (I had a difficult first quarter, but I've been able to maintain close to a 4.0 since then).

Good luck!

goldcoast-

for my stats check the transfer results page (i believe it is the second to last page). i posted my updated stats after i received my NU rejection letter.

I haven't got any housing info via email. did any one get it?
and did everyone register for 2007 fall semester?
because I haven't...
and are we getting a booklet or something for transferring students?
I sent my deposit on the first day of this month and I haven't got any of these. should i call and ask them?

For a sophomore applicant, do I need to have declared a major?

arcadefire1027, it depends on whether you're applying as an incoming sophomore or incoming junior (which requires a major).
