Northwestern Thread for Transfer Students

yea uve got an hour... good luck!

haha jacknjill u amuse me! I was distracted by a little myspace and online chats! yea i think its 12 Am Chicago time, haha or so I hope! Generally it seems that the apps are due in the time zone of their respective universities.

submitted! now just sit pray and kiss my cross (even though I dont have one)!.woo! anxious!! but kind of optimistic! :D :) Good Luck to everybody! and to me!

Submitted, utterly last minute. :-D

wait

I should edit my essays and stuff right?

Why, WHYYYYYYY.

14 minutes. At least I submitted part 1 15 minutes ago and submitted the returning adult, and sttement for ppl not in school AND activities sections. technically, Im 50% done with the 2nd part.

13 mintes.

jacknjill, don't you even peek here until you have your essays done! Back to work now =P

fine.

Its hard to work when I have so many shows to watch...I also have How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men... Good thing I dont have class till 2:30 tomorrow.
And you know what? Im not from NY. I'm from LA. So I still have like 2 hours. . . . .

(6 minutes)

aaagh 3 minutes

haha I just realized that Northwesterns mascot is the Wildcat while my current schools (Baruch College) is Bearcats.

Desperate last minute attempt for a conclusion:

I wish to transfer from the Bearcats to the Wildcats and be a part of a student body that is proud to roar, rather than squeak, at academia and life.

1 minute

done! 11:59- however my statement on activities didn't load well- d'u think they'll be mad if I sent a hard copy?

and the deadline has passed...

oops -4 minutes

...I hope they dont mind the extra 88 words for the personal statement.

Its their fault any way.

I still don't feel comfortable enough to press the button though :( If only i could press 'submit application' buttons as easily as "post quick reply" buttons :(

This is the final step in completing the online portion of your application to Northwestern. By clicking the submit button below you officially submit your application to Northwestern for review.

Between now and the application deadline, your remaining responsibility (if you haven't done so already) is to mail in the supplemental form material (e.g. teacher recommendations, secondary school report).

Way to have negative time. good luck with Northwestern.

hahaha you guys are something, cutting it really short. I know I tried hard to submit my app for Dartmouth by 3/1 only to find out they downloaded it by 3/6.

Jack n Jill what were the word limits anyway, I think i blew all of them. I didnt feel "safe" enough to press the button, but I just gave it that last push anyways.

bumpity bump my activities displayed a cannot display logo in the box and then quickly fixed itself, I am sure its nothing big and northwestern links the .doc files on another server or something and it links it up. I am sure if there are problems they would call you, or so I would hope.........

i hear you jack on pressing the app button like the post quick reply buttons!

GL Everyone!

and to you as well bumpity bump, as you seem to submit your apps really late LOL!

does anyone know if anyone has been already admitted or if decicions start from May first on a rolling basis as I have been reading quickly on here?

500/no limit/no limit

ya mine was definitely 580 something lol... i hope they dont mind...

ugh. i emailed the guy yesterday after I got into UCLA and he said he'll get back to me before June 1. I also applied in January.

Yeah, I pretty much ignored the word limits also. In fact I've done so for just about every school I've applied to. I tend to go way over some times, but usually I'm pretty confident that what I have, is well-written, cohesive, and pointed enough to keep them reading. I think you're safe as long as you don't ramble or get tangential -- and trust me, 88 words over is nothing next to what I pulled. ^_^
