^ whats was your stats....the only thing from keeping me from applying to NU is the required ACT/SAT scores... I never took them and I am not just to apply.

truegibberish, thanks! i will most likely go. i'm still waiting to hear from UChicago (i doubt it will happen before july 1 and the reply day for NU is june 29:(). in any case i'm going to reserve a spot at NU. and i'm soooo excited to go to Chicago! i wish you get your acceptance letter soon, good luck! :)

do any of you guys know how hard it is to change majors....i've really just decided w/in the past month to change. when i called today the guy i spoke to said it would take about a week....(i'm switching from physics to biomed eng, btw)

Yes, from what I've heard from students at NU, changing majors is not a problem. Changing from physics to biomedical engineering, however, would mean that you have to transfer from Weinberg to McCormick. I hear this is not very difficult either, but it would probably be harder than simply changing majors.

Did the guy you spoke to know you wanted to change from your Weinberg major to a McCormick major?

Have you been accepted yet? I'd be carefull about trying to switch before being accepted... That sentence, "everything would have to be reviewed again," sounds a little scary.

yeah im in...the guy just acted like the eng dept had to look at my file...i would hope its an easy change since physics and eng are kinda related...i emailed the dept chair explaining why/when i chose to switch and such a bit ago

Should be no problem unless they think there are too many people in BME, which has always been the second most popular major in McCormick, just behind IEMS.
