@rvyuan Hi! I was accepted to Weinberg yesterday, and submitted my app the day it was due (oops). I’m currently at a state school with a 3.87 last semester, 4.0 high school GPA, and 34 ACT. My extracurriculars in high school were pretty good but in college they haven’t been, so I really tried to compensate with my essays. I poured myself into them for a long time, and (I think) that was my match point. Best of luck to you, and everyone else on this thread; I know how much the waiting game blows, so just hang in there
@arr1996 I applied to chemistry, and u??
Hey everyone… Just got accepted yesterday and thought I’d post my stats for those still waiting:
High School GPA: 4.15
ACT: 35
College GPA: 3.95
Obviously those are the ones that get the most weight but here’s some more info (if you’re curious):
Owned a small business for 7 years
Graduated High School in 3 years (kind of explains the low GPA)
3 leadership positions in college
Essays were pretty solid I think
White/ Male
So I got in, which is pretty cool. But that means there is clearly A LOT of hope for you guys too. Good Luck!
@transfereeee I had a 3.9CGPA at a top 20LAC, 3.9 HS GPA, 31 ACT, and relatively mediocre ECs.
Why those of you accepted are first year applicant TAT??
@409391074 They said they prefer first year applicants on website due to space concerns.
It’s so unfair LOL
Probably will be another round of decision this week. Good luck everyone!
@jquery I think decisions usually come out every Tuesday or Thursday right?
@Tony87 They released decisions last Thursday and the Tuesday a week before, but I think it’s too early to try to derive a rule now
anyone heard back today?
@Transfersquared Nope
I think it’s usually in the evening too
has anyone heard back from the school of communications yet?
Got rejected as an electrical engineering major.
@qlrp2012 Sorry to hear about that. Did you mean today?
@jquery Yes I got an email at 6:30pm
@qlrp2012 I’m applying for CS major. Last year it seemed engineering results were usually late…
did anyone apply to SESP?
How do they decide in what order they send decisions to people? I heard back for engineering on April 14.
