NU is pretty strange this year. Till now they only accepted 2 ppl from this thread.

Northwestern has no consistent pattern in acceptance. I know that Vandy sends out most acceptance in the first wave, but it seems like Northwestern sends mix of them every wave, so not sure hearing back late would be any favorable xD
I haven’t heard from Vandy yet. Would there be mostly rejections in latter waves? @inordie
@luckybaby From what I’ve seen from the past, there will be another big wave of acceptance in the second wave I think. Unless this year’s acceptance got much lower/Or Vandy is doing things differently, if you hear back next week, you have a good chance that you are in.

I was accepted at Vandy too, if i get into Northwestern, it would be a tough choice between the two.
@ConnorGrant19 That will be the case for me too. But I’m not expecting anything from Northwestern, because I think I got into vandy with pure luck lol. Still makes me anxious tho.
They took very few off the wl for class of 2020 last year, and from what we have seen very few transfers admitted so far, I can’t help but wonder if maybe they just aren’t going to admit very many transfers this year. It seems they started announcing a week later and from cc have admittted so few, they know when other schools deposits are due.
If they were gonna accept less transfers, I feel like more of us should have gotten rejected or waitlisted yesterday. Why would they wait until later to reject?
Did the second wave come out yesterday?
