Northwestern Transfers Fall 2017

8 ppl in total including 4 engineering

@ltmommy that’s amazing! Haven’t heard back from SoC yet! What major and when did she find out?

@spanishivy she heard back around 515. Film major

I looked over 2015 and 2016 transfer threads, because I need to channel my anxiety somewhere. Both years had six waves.

2015 (4/14, 4/22, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12 and 5/19)

2016 (4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/5 and 5/12)

2015 CC members had 21 acceptances and 9 rejections.

2016 CC members had 18 acceptances and 23 rejections.

So far, I believe we’ve had 8 acceptances, 17 rejections and 1 waitlist

Thanks for the info! @LesMeules

No problem! It’s making me feel more grounded while still anxious. I suppose knowledge is power regardless of emotions being evoked. At least we know what to expect with a timeline, it’s not cloaked in suppositions. That doesn’t make it any less nerve-racking, and I am bothered by the jump in rejections from 2015 to 2016. Someone said there was an increase in transfer applicants last year though.

Wow yah that is a pretty dramatic difference in rejections. We’re still pretty low so far for acceptances so hopefully a lot are still coming

Hey all, I haven’t been active on this thread, but I was accepted yesterday.

Congrats, which school?

9 acceptance, 17 rejections, 1 wl

NORTHWESTERN EXTENDED MY REPLY DATE TO THE 10th INSTEAD OF THE 3rd BLESS UP

May 3rd would be the next wave. What does it mean?

@luckybaby it means that the people who were accepted in the first wave would have to reply by the 3rd and they would accept people based on how many people from the first wave said no
So they dont over/under estimate

Vandy seems to be doing the same thing

@VaishS Then why do they extend the ddl of deposit?

@luckybaby They extended it for me but probably not a lot of people needed/asked for that option. It is still the 3rd for everyone else.
Even from the people who do reply they should get a god idea of how many to accept/reject

Thank you for your info! Still waiting lol. Best wishes! @VaishS

@luckybaby Thank you! Good luck to you too

@arg101 CAS

Does anyone know if they stagger the reply date for accepting admissions based off of when your decision came out, or if people who heard back this Wednesday would have to reply by May 3rd?
