Northwestern University Early Decision thread 2010

haha i’m trying to get it done this weekend but when i say that i prob mean like nov. 28th

same here! hey is anyone applying to SESP, or are u all WCAS-ers and Mccormick?

Dual-Degree all the wayy!
Flute performance and political science ;)

i applied to sesp! i wonder how many people in total did?

@sparkles2015 - very cool. my best friend has been playing violin for 12 years and is also a math geek, so i admire those musicians/scholars in the worlddd

@holmes1993 - i dont imagine very many people did…are you SESP for the education part or social policy (me) part?

i applied as a human development and psychological services major, so not really either of those haha. i want to have an interdisciplinary specialization in either child development or pre-medicine. i’m really scared to see whether the small number of sesp applicants helps or hurts me. i remember reading one year only 32 students were in the incoming sesp class!

@IBkid2011 - thanks! My audition is this Wednesday wish me luck!
@holmes1993 - one of my good friends is having that same debate about premed v. Child development good luck! I hope sesp works out.

I know there are a ton of internal transfers to SESP which substantially increases the class size after you spend some time there.

I was told that Sesp gets very few applicants overall. But in theory, that would increase your chances. Though I’m no sure of the stats of your competition.

And good luck on the audition sparkles!

Just joining in–I applied to Medill. It’s been ridiculous waiting the two weeks already and the next four at going to be awful…

And people up above were saying Medill is the hardest get into which does not help my confidence at all…

@sparkles2015 thanks! good luck on your audition!

these next four weeks are going to be so long

I’m mad about having to find out if I’m in online rather than through mail. An acceptance letter is way better than some words on the screen. I know I get the rejection/acceptance letter soon after, bit I’m not going to have to wait even more!

GOD IM SO FREAKING SCARED!!! Is Biological sciences generally a hard major to get into? If so I’m screwed :)

I’m ok…sometimes. Like I forget about it for one or two days. Then I start thinking more and more about it till I’m panicked. Then I’m reasearching admissions for like 4 hours and then I calm down a little then the cycle beging again. haha. Oh and then I’m always countiing down on my calendar. Geez time is sooo slow.

@ DESTROYER yeah I want an answer in the mail too!

I also applied to biological sciences. And haha I have that same cycle!

Ahhhh! Need a way to pass the time. Ideas? Lol

Haha I’m trying to earn money to help out my parents in the mean time. Tutoring, doing kids homework packets, etc. making some good money too!

lol I come home. Take a nap, then do 5 hours of homework (I hate APs haha). Eat then internet then bed and then I do it again. Cannot wait for winter break…
