Northwestern vs. Cornell

What are the pros and cons socially of these schools? (looking for current Cornell students)

Why did you/ would you pick Cornell over Nu, or school X?

I'm interested in the humanities or econ. What school is academically better? Pros and Cons please.

i am in the exact same situation. i am leaning cornell, but i also ahve to choose between chicago. help please!

same exact position - although add emory in the mix for me

u guys going to Wildcat Days and Cornell Days too?

qwer, I have a long line of legacy at Emory and all I can really say about it is- If you are into Pre-med its a top notch school... If you were into more of a theoretical science or math then you are better off at cornell .. If you hate cold weather then goto emory ... Also I am pretty sure a degree from cornell carries more weight than a degree from emory

"I am pretty sure a degree from cornell carries more weight than a degree from emory"

In response to that, I am pretty sure Emory is a top-notch school, and is even called, "the Ivy of the South." As an East Coast person, I would initally think that a degree at Cornell would carry more weight, but after doing more research into schools like Emory, WashU, and other southern and mid-west schools, there are tons of school there (including Emory) that I would say carry just as much weight as Cornell.
