congrats to everyone that has gotten in recently! Are you guys out of state? Was wondering if NU might be taking that into account more seriously since there has been a surge in cases in certain states/might be more difficult for those students to leave their states.

We are in Texas and my son accepted yesterday! They said they will have a dorm for him most likely single dorms.

My kid was accepted a call and text follow up. :smiley: nothing was said about tuition.

What is the process when a kid says yes, Any leverage for waitlist accepted kids this year?

Phone call
had about 48 hours to respond and accepted. I remember seeing this thread and I would be happy for people who got in but would get increasingly anxious about the number of spots left and if there was anything else I could do. My advice: I think all of the counselors have a list of students that they would like to admit off the waitlist and further emails/phone calls won’t help. I have a feeling more students will be accepted before the month is over-don’t give up hope!!

I am from China but went to a high school in the US. I sent 2 LOCIs to give updates over the past four months. No additional letter of recommendation but I did ask my counselor to send the final transcript to NU.

I got in off the waitlist on Friday! I received a phone call at around 11 am and had 48 hours to decide. Likely a physics or engineering major. From the east coast. Good luck to everyone else!
