Not a conservative Christian?

I've always really liked Wake, but I've heard that religion is huge there.
Is religion really as predominant as sites like college p r o w l e r make it out to be? Would an agnostic northerner fit in?

I realize that you guys get a lot of posts on here asking about how southern or white the school is, but to be honest, neither of those things bother me. I'm more concerned about religion. I don't want to spend 4 years at Bible Thumping U.

Any thoughts on this?
Thanks.

Religion is not huge at Wake. It has Baptist roots, but this is definitely not Bible Thumping U. You can even opt out of taking a Religion course (you take 2 courses from History, Philosophy, and Religion).

An agnostic northerner would fit in at Wake, without a doubt.

I simply second what freakadeac said.

Sounds good. Thank you.

Yeah, no one will bother you at Wake if you're not religious. And, as freakadeac said, they've even changed the divisional requirements so that you don't have to take a religion (for my class it's a requirement, but it doesn't have to be a Christianity course).

Its a requirement for my class as well, but I think people should take Religion even if its not a requirement.
