<p>Feels like the waiting will never end! My son is much more patient about it than I am. I’m worried that with the sorry condition that CA is in that he may not get into ANY of the colleges he applied for (UCSD, UCSB, UCI, SDSU, Cal Poly SLO, and Cal Poly Pomona). On the other hand, I worry that he’ll get into his dream school (UCSD) and we will have to figure out how to pay for it! lol. Ugh, I would just like to know…</p>

okay, I think the top - tier thing is false. I think acceptances are random. I know a 4.2 UCgpa kid that hasn’t heard back yet, and a girl who has a 3.7UCGPA that’s already gotten in. But then again my friend who has ELC already got in too. It’s all random and scattered.</p>

<p>@theReach–it seems that most of the people getting in have like a 4.2-4.3 avg and a very high SAT.
This lady with a 3.7 benefits cause her SAT is pretty high.

<p>My uc gpa is around 3.7 (verrrrry close to this number lol), and I got in.</p>
<p>I did also get a 2300+ on the SAT, but i think what really pushed me in were my essays, which I spent a HUGE AMOUNT of time on.</p>
<p>AH. my UC gpa is 3.7 and i got 2060 on the SAT… hopefully that’s good enough -.-</p>

<p>Well from the stats of those who have been accepted, I have noticed that they either a)have an ungodly GPA (4.25+) or b) Very Very High SAT scores 21-2200+</p>
