Not all my apps have been withdrawn

I've decided to go and payed my deposit already to a university. The problem is that I needed to have my applications to other colleges pulled by today.

There are two colleges that I have yet to receive a confirmation email from. I called the Admissions Office to both and they told me that when my request is fulfilled, I will be sent an email. Apparently, they've been getting a lot of emails and requests so things are taking some time.

With that having been said, if I already submitted the request, am I okay? The email that the university sent me upon acceptance said that if I have any active applications after 3/11, my acceptance would be jeopardized.

Just FYI, I wasn't sure if I was going to go this college until Sunday (3/10) due to financial issues. This means that I didn't request that my other applications be pulled until 2 days ago after I paid my deposit. I wasn't just being lazy and not withdrawing because I could. After paying my deposit and officially deciding to go two days ago, I promptly emailed all the other colleges.

However, since those two other universities have yet to email me and because the admissions offices confirmed that I would be sent an email once it happens, I know for a fact that I still have two active applications. Should I email my university and let them know what's going on or is it not a big deal for now??

You are OK. They probably are just to busy to email you back.

@happymomof1 Okay, so my acceptance will NOT be jeopardized due to these active applications?

I don’t think any of us can be positive – in situations like this, I always say error on the side of safety – send an email to the school you paid the deposit to and simply let them know. I am hoping you kept a copy of the emails you sent to the withdraw schools that has the date/time on them?

You did the right thing.
You emailed the two colleges, right? Keep copies, as Momof 2 suggested. I doubt the accepted college will go after you for their delay. I’m torn about whether I’d tell my kids to follow up with the school you deposited to- if you do, it’s as simple as “confirming I have withdrawn all other apps.”

You are fine because you sent the email to withdraw the other applications. Just because they didn’t confirm doesn’t put you in a bad position, you can’t control that. You did your part so don’t worry.
