Haha seriously, it isn't. I'll be visiting WashU on Thursday. Flying in in the morning, flying out at night. Right now I'm scheduled to do an info session, tour, and interview. However, I have visited once before. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about things I could maybe do instead of the info session/tour. I will be by myself so I have some freedom. Also, would the admissions office care if I met a guy from my high school who enrolled at WashU this year (aka he's a freshman) instead of the scheduled stuff (obviously not skipping my interview)?

I would think that they wouldn’t have a problem with you not going on the tour or to the info session, its not like they take attendance or anything.

As for things to do, if you want to sit in on a class, thats always a good thing to do when visiting colleges. But I would definitely suggest walking over to the loop or taking the metro to central west end and getting some lunch or doing some shopping. Or if you’re really adventurous head over to the city museum, which isn’t actually a museum. Rather, its a giant playground for adults!

The admission office people would certainly not mind if you meet up with someone from your high school who is currently a freshman. Rather, I would think they would encourage it since it’s another way to advertise their school with no effort on their part. Also, the person from your high school can give you other suggestions of what you can do.
Since you are new to St. Louis, I would not recommend going into the city since 1) it is somewhat dangerous to go by yourself (unless you have someone accompany you) 2) you may get lost if you are not familiar with the transit system and 3) you are visiting the school, not the city. However, if you are the adventurous type, no one is stopping you.

I would recommend hanging out around the entrance to Olin Library and in Bears Den, just to get a good feel for the student population. Those are two busy places on campus.
