<p>I think there’s a box somewhere on the CalSo registration page where you can say that you’re not attending and explain why.</p>
<p>I actually already registered, but now need to cancel. Who should I e-mail to receive all the information I need? Also, is there an advisor that could help me online choose my courses?</p>

You have to go to the calso website and I think there’s a spot on there where you click “decline” or something like that.
As for picking classes, god help us I have NO idea what I’m doing! lol</p>

Click on “I can’t attend Calso!” and do what they tell you to. I know this is difficult but the internet is ur friend.</p>
<p>Also, those who don’t attend Calso get lowest priority on class registration, meaning you guys register after everyone else… Personally, i would be doing everything i can to try and go.</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure you can still move your date back, why not move it back all the way and then start working on transportation right now?? You need to be willing to go as far as a plane flight. CalSO’s pretty important, I think</p>
<p>as far as choosing classes. Look at your major’s website. That should be helpful. Basically figure out what the requirements are for the major and figure out if you need to complete any prerequisites for the requirements. Then go to the schedule of classes for the fall, and see which classes are full. </p>
<p>And every major has an adviser (who should be listed somewhere on the major’s website) who you can contact with questions about choosing classes. </p>
<p>My adviser told us not to take more than two classes in my major for the first semester and to take only 13 units my first semester. This is to help people new to Cal to get used to Berkeley and adjust to the pace and difficulty of the material. For me 13 units means taking three philosophy courses (i’m disregarding the advice to only take 2 for various reasons), which total 12 units, and for the last unit I’ll probably take a DeCal. Or some bs class for new transfer students.</p>
<p>Yes, I did cancel! I’m also thinking of switching majors, too–but, I just feel overwhelmed/confused lol.</p>
