Not completely need-blind?

This is from the website:

"In the case of international students, Middlebury follows a need-blind admissions policy to the extent that financial resources allow."

Does anyone have an idea how much 'extent' they are allowing internationals in need-blind?I had always believed Middlebury was completely need-blind for internationals as well..hm a bit of a disappointment. I probably have more need than most people too..do the students with more need get the first axe?

Please help...thanks.

Colleges and Schools Awarding International Financial Aid - Vermont

According to the page, in Middlebury out of 246 international students, 192 receive aid and average financial package for intl students is $39,846. You have a good chance of receiving financial aid.

That's great to hear..I have always heard Midd gives generous financial aids to internationals. But do you think that will change with the US financial crisis and all?
