Not having AP/IB/Honors classes hurt my chances??

So my school does not offer these classes, but I took the most difficult classes possible, which my counseler is also going to state within his part of the application. Will it hurt me if they arent formally "AP" classes? And any advice on how I should tell the schools about this situation?

^No your counselor will relay this to colleges. Colleges evaluate you within the context of your school. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think since you go to a school without ap’s, and thus you haven’t taken any ap/ib/etc., then colleges will probably weigh your standardized test scores more heavily.

cool im fine with that… thanks, any one else have a perspective on this???

Schools will not ding you for not having the opportunity to take those classes. As the previous poster said, they look at your transcript within the context of what is available to you locally. Since your counselor is saying you took the most challenging classes available, you are fine.
