Not having Statistics requirement completed for UCSB Economics/Accounting?

is it absolutely REQUIRED that you take Statistics for UCSB's econ/acctg? My schedule is already has very little wiggle room and Stats would push me into overload. I don't like the idea of taking Statistics while taking Calculus 1 or Calculus 2 (my first choice is UCLA BusEcon), but should I do it anyway?

I finished calc 1 and 2 and figured I was done with math, but then I realized I had to take stats as well. Let me tell you…has to be the easiest math ever. Especially if you compare stats to calc it is such a cake walk.

What major? Why’d you have to take Stats?

have you already satisfied the math requirement for IGETC?

THat’s in progress. I am doing Precalculus this semester.

I am a psych major so I had to take stats o.o. The only reason I took calc 1 and 2 was because i was a bio major for a tiny bit of my life.

BUMP

I might just take Stats over Summer. How hard would it for a 5-week session?

Intro-to-stats is easy as *****. It only uses basic math like add, subtract, division, and you pretty much do elementary math. Even my math professor doesn’t take this class seriously, she releases a study guide that’s exactly identical to the exam.

Everyone who’s not good at math takes into-to-stats.

Yeah, I go to LACC and everyone here takes like 5000 years of remedial math and finish with Stats, lol. But it’s still stretching my courseload a bit…

Does anyone know if TAG applies to this major?

^^Yeah I tagged to Econ/Accnt and got in today. I’m changing to just Econ most likely, I’m beginning to loathe accounting…

Did you take Stats?

Yeah, I hated stats, I took it in the summer but since it was faster paced the professor was more lenient. I liked calc better.
