I got my GED and it's been a few years since high school. I never took the SATs so I was wondering if I still can and how do I (since it seems that the SATs are given at high schools).

I took mine on a local college campus. Even if they are given at a high school, they are not limited to the students at that high school, anyone can sign up. Just register online for the nearest testing location (I have seen high schools, community colleges, universities and churches used as test locations in my area). https://ecl.collegeboard.com/account/login.jsp?applicationId=115&destinationpage=https%3A%2F%2Fnsat.collegeboard.com:443/satweb%2Flogin.jsp

You can take the ACT and SAT anywhere they are offered. My daughter took the ACT at a nearby college when it was not offered at her school on a date she wanted to take it. A friend of hers took it in another state when he was on vacation (last chance to increase his score fo a scholarship).

There is no age limit either, most of the test prep book authors have taken (and normally aced) the test themselves to get a feel for it.

Lol Billy Madison...
