<p>I don't like history and don't plan on pursuing it at all in college, should I cross Gettysburg off my list then or is it not as much history-focused as I've heard?</p>
<p>20-25% of Lafayette's student body are engineering majors. That doesn't/shouldn't take away from the other wonderful offerings...Just because G'Burg has an excellent venue and concentration on history, should not deter anyone from taking advantage of their other great opportunities, IMO</p>
<p>I never took a history course at Gettysburg and honestly, the subject never really came up in social activities or anything. I think I only had one friend who minored in the Civil War Era Studies program... so, no, you do not have to like history to enjoy 4 years at Gettysburg.</p>
