I've been accepted to Cornell and I plan to go to Cornell days. However, I was not invited to the Diversity Hosting Weekend although I am black/African-American. I saw online though that you can register. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to register online if I never received a letter or email inviting me to attend? Is it open to any minority that was accepted? Just wondering.....

My son is a minority, though Hispanic, and wasn't invited either. Did you find out about it from the website, or from someone else first and then looked for it on the website?

If you were not invited then you can not attend DHW. Don't worry though, it doesn't mean that they have something against you. The program has a very limited number of slots because CU funds travel for the students. You can always come up from the 14th-16th and attend some of the same events that the DHW students do. (i.e. the MILRSO fashion show- it is a huge event for minorities on campus)

I saw someone post something about it on this discussion board and then I saw it online at Cornell's website.
