I've been doing practice tests since November, of course I only did a couple during the school year, but I recently did 2 during the break. My scores aren't seeing the improvement that I want. I'm constantly getting in the low 600's-low 700's, and while I didn't rigorously study in the school year, I still feel like I did enough work during that time and during the break to see some sort of improvement. What's going on? What should I do? How do you recommend I improve my score? I'm aiming for a 2400 (obviously), but anything above a 2300 would satisfy.

The only things you really can do are take practice tests, rigorously analyzing your missed questions or questions you were iffy about. Also look at vocab lists like Essential 500. Direct Hits hasn’t been that accurate lately, and Essential is by the same author who wanted to make a new book after seeing that DH wasn’t getting the same results it used to.

I plan on taking the SAT this year by the way.

you have plenty of time before october test. Just do two practice tests a week

Stop taking full practice tests for a little while. Do timed individual 25/20/10 minute sections and make sure you know exactly what you did wrong.
