hmm i was wondering, does anyone know out there how much ur carry on luggage can weigh when flying? some websites are saying 40 and some are saying 50, etc. >.< iknow that checked in luggage can only weigh up to 50, but am still unsure bout the carry on stuff

my power went out today too... twas kinda weird idk, it was half on half off.

Luggae can only weigh 50 LB, they will take things upto 70 LB but you will end up paying extra for that. Total Length-height-Width can not exceed 62 inches or you will pay an extra hefty charge.

Carry on is an other issue, most airlines will not weigh it, BUT it surely can not be 50-70 pounds. I believe the Max is 12 KG (about 25 LB).

Check the airline website for weight limits. Usually it is 50 lbs. If more than 50 lbs, take an extra suit case. They charge at least and extra $25 if over 50 lbs. Per person luggage, you can only take 2.

Southwest allows 3 checked bags per person. With the airlines' profitability down, most are enforcing the weight and size limit so they can charge the additional fees if bags are too heavy or too big.

When I came back from Japan my luggage weighed 49.5 pounds. I was SO close to paying the extra fee. I had so many gifts from my host families and souvenirs for my friends and family.

But yeah, the weight limit is 50 lbs, at least for NWA.
