Not taking anyone from the waitlist: College of Arts and Sciences :(

I called the College of Arts and Sciences and received an email from them saying that they probably won't be taking anyone from the waitlist this year...the class of 2012 is going to be full enough as it is. idk, kind of a bummer...

No way >_>

Post the email.

There is conflicting information. According to phone call to Cornell Arts & Sciences, they will not know whether they will go to the waitlist until May 12th at the earliest.

I'm just telling you what they told me when i called...btw i called the college of arts and sciences directly and spoke with someone there.

How about the College of Engineering?

Ripple Effect: NY Time 5/9/08: <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/09/education/09admissions.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin%5B/url%5D">http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/09/education/09admissions.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin</a></p>

i had read that article too, does anyone else notice how they never talk about cornell in these articles? there was another one in the ny times last week that was just focused on the ivy league and they named all the other ones AND a couple of non-ivies but not cornell! which was actually the reason why i came onto CC because i had all this pent up cornell pride lol

^yeah but the thing is unlike all of the other schools mentioned in that article cornell didn't under enroll the class. the dean of admissions specifically said they tried to admit as many students as possible thereby eliminating the need to go to the waitlist :(
