Not the typical view of immigration/moving?

I have an essay idea but it may be too cliche..?

I've moved around a lot and for a while I went through a phase where I thought I had lost parts of my personality from moving around so much and trying to adapt to all the new places. So basically it's the typical find-yourself-identity crisis-adolescence stuff, but caused by moving.
In tenth grade there was a racist hate group that was protesting in my town and I realized that people's ignorance and conflicts are caused by their inability to see things from different perspectives. I feel that I can see things from different cultural perspectives, which makes me the open-minded person that I am. I'm not personality-less because I've had to adapt to a lot of places, rather, adaptability has become a part of my personality itself.

^Is this too cliche/confusing/haughty/just not gonna work??
Thanks!
