i mean some people are saying 6 pm EST, but why would they change their admissions decision time from last year?</p>

<p>A current UChicago student wrote a post that stated if the decisions were going to be released today, it would be at 5:00 CST. I guess it doesn't do any harm to keep the hope alive for another hour :D</p>

<p>People who applied EA said they didn't receive an email until a while after decisions were posted. Hence why we are either a) checking obsessively or b) letting other people check obsessively while hanging out on the CC forums. :]</p>
<p>I got the EA decision email 30 minutes after I found the decision online. But I found out at 5 eastern.</p>
<p>it's not going to be today, we just got another person who contacted their counselor and he said it would not be today.</p>
<p>CCers had the announcement "Decisions are Up" posted here before applicants ever got the email ...</p>

But I live in Illinois and got my decision at 5. CST.</p>
<p>well, it's 5:03 and decisions are still up, so I don't think our theory was correct :( oh well ... at least hope is still alive!</p>
