I’m self-studying AP World History but I don’t think I have enough time to read an entire textbook at this point. I spent one day reading AP EURO prepbook last year and got 4 (no essay practices at all) I plan on only reading Barron’s and memorizing rubrics for FRQs.

Has anyone gotten a 5 without using a textbook? What did you do? (as in what resources you used to prep?)

A lot of people on here say they’ve gotten 5’s by flipping through a prepbook, but of course you can’t verify that.

Since you need to know general trends, PR might help too – Barron’s can be a bit too much sometimes. If you spent a day looking at AP Euro, four or so months of looking through a prepbook AND practice tests should give you a five.

I’m studying APWH this year, so good luck to us both.
