Notification date of Finalist of Richmond Scholars

^all categories of finalists have heard, including oldham and oliver hill. no non-finalist emails yet, i don’t think…

i was oldham

I got my non-finalist letter today, but no email.

It did say that I am admitted to the school, though, which was nice. I still really like Richmond, and I’m hoping they’ll pull through for me in the end with some kind of money…

Ah well. Congratulations to all of you finalists! And good luck :)

hbeck - did you get Bonner Scholar info in? My D was admitted ED. We were hoping on Richmond Scholar but that didn’t happen. Crossing our fingers on Bonner. UR is very good with financial aid. She loves UR and is looking forward to Fall.

I actually didn’t apply for Bonner Scholars, so I’m not much help on that. After learning more about Richmond and how generous they are, we are still really hopeful that I’ll receive a good financial aid package.

Good luck to your daughter!

I haven’t received anything yet either. Isn’t the Bonners scholarship only $2500 a year though?

My DS got an acceptance letter into the school and a confirmation that he didn’t make it into the Scholars Competition! Still hoping (& praying) for the Presidential Scholarship plus some more. We’re happy though!

4ChicksMom, I got the same letter today!

Same here. I didn’t make the finalist round, but I’m glad I was accepted :)

Yup, I got the same letter… not into the Finalist group, but accepted. Honestly, one of the main reasons I was applying to Richmond was Richmond Scholars; so since I haven’t got that, I seriously doubt I’ll be attending. If anything could pull me away from my dream school, it’d be Richmond Scholars. But that didn’t happen… oh well, Richmond’s loss.

You’re right, Richmond really needs more arrogant students…darn :(

“Isn’t the Bonners scholarship only $2500 a year though?”

Bonner is $2500/yr for academic plus some summer stipends and some loan forgiveness. So, no it is not as generous as Richmond Scholars. My D is very excited to be going to her #1 and will be thrilled with any additional aid she is offered.

Not a finalist :(.

My D applied for Science and Boatwright and hasn’t heard anything back from Richmond yet - no finalist email, no nonfinalist-but-accepted letter. Hope that’s not a bad sign concerning acceptance…

I got my non-finalist email two days ago. I applied for Science and Oldham.
